As the weather turned autumnal after the wonderful start to September, this seagull was spotted strutting along the sea wall by Helensburgh Leisure Centre.

This picture was submitted by a local parent out enjoying a sunny evening in Hermitage Park when he spotted this seagull perched upon the climbing frame. Unfortunately, he explained, as he went to take the photo the seagull took flight, which made for a great photo in our opinion!

This seagull was spotted in late June, sitting atop a lamppost on the riverbank. He’s likely wondering where the great weather from the first half of the month went to as he braces against the strong winds we’ve endured since the mini-heatwave left us.

This brave ‘gull was pacing ever closer in the flower bed in Colquhoun Square in late May, keeping a watchful eye on the snack I was eating. He eventually flew away when he realised there was nothing left of my meal deal for him to poach!

This seagull was spotted on Clyde Street, making his way to Kidston Park by following the cycle lane. Very sensible of him, except if he was on the new and completely ridiculous cycle lane by the pier, where he’d likely be run over while attempting to rejoin the busy main road.

Our final seagull of the month for 2022 was photographed on the afternoon of the last day of the year. Staying out of the cold River Clyde, perhaps she’s looking forward to what 2023 will have in store – hopefully some warmer weather for us all.
